Cory ng EDSA, a Filipino Musicale is very much different from the plays that I’ve seen during the recently concluded Virgin Labfest. But productions such as this and the others that have been staged by the Philippine Stagers Foundation provide variety and can further make the theater scene here more vibrant. And the company is poised to do just that as Cory ng EDSA will be staged until March 2012 having runs at SM Centerpoint, SM North EDSA, Tanghalang Pasigueño and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
The musical production numbers were very interesting as almost all of them were extended medleys depicting montage scenes. These numbers showcased various music genres, costume changes and stylized choreography performed with such aplomb by the chorus. And in rare occasions, even Cory joined in the dancing. One notable song in the musical is Naaalala Kita, which is structured like a pop song primed for some radio airplay. The song is indeed catchy and I wouldn’t be surprised if audience members leave the theater humming the melody of this song. Consequently, an original cast recording of the musical will be released by Viva Records and that it will also include a pop version of Naaalala Kita by Nikki Bacolod.
The point of view affects how the reader sees the story. If it came from the point of view of a different character in the book, the story would be completely different, because everyone has differing opinions on everything.
This is a story adopted from true story in Tokyo, Japan. This story trully can make your tears drop in the middle of the movie.
Hachiko, an Akita dog, supposed to be sent from Japan to an address. But, he foult in the railstation, where he met his master (played by Richard Gere).
His master and Hachiko was very closed each other.
Hachiko always listened to his master words. but, only one thing he didn’t want to do, is playing ball. If his master throw a ball, he wont catch it for any reasons.
When Hachiko growed up, he began to accompanied his master to railstation before he went to worked.
Even his master told him to went home, he still insist to do it.
And everyday, at 5 PM, when the whistle of the train was ringed, he ran out to the railstation to waited for his master from his work.
This routine, happened everyday..
And suddenly, one day in the morning, Hachiko asked his Master to play a ball. It’s aweird thing. But his master can’t play with him because he had to went to work.
This isi must be a bad sign that Hachiko felt on that day. Hachiko didn’t want his master to go.
On his workplace, suddenly his master got a heart attack. He died, and he never came back again.

no matter what I do,
no matter what I say,
no matter how I feel,
I know we’ll be together someday.
You’ve been pulled away from me,
so I helped to push you back,
now I know what I lack.
I miss your arms around me,
and when I used to giggle.
I miss you touching me,
that always made me wiggle.
I know we’ll be together someday,
I know fate will have it’s way.
It’s our destiny.
What’s the best thing in the world?
June-rose, by May-dew impearled;
Sweet south-wind, that means no rain;
Truth, not cruel to a friend;
Pleasure, not in haste to end;
Beauty, not self-decked and curled
Till its pride is over-plain;
Love, when, so, you’re loved again.
What’s the best thing in the world?
—Something out of it, I think.
